Ticket Purchase Terms
Version 2 – Effective 14 February 2026
1. Introduction
1.1 These terms govern:
(a) the purchase and use of tickets for the Breakthrough Parent Event 2026 (“Event”); and
(b) access to and use of www.thebreakthroughparent.com or https://thebreakthroughparent.framer.website/ (“Site”).
1.2 By purchasing a ticket, accessing the Site, or engaging with Event content (including livestream or replay access), you agree to these terms.
1.3 If you do not agree, do not purchase a ticket or use the Site.
Part A – Ticket Purchase Terms
2. Contracting Party
2.1 Tickets are sold by Re-Connects: Transforming Families Together Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”), a New Zealand registered company.
2.2 Eventbrite provides ticketing technology only and is not a contracting party.
2.3 All contracts are formed in New Zealand.
3. Pricing & GST
3.1 All prices are stated in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
3.2 Prices include GST where applicable under New Zealand law.
3.3 International purchasers are responsible for any local taxes, currency conversion fees, or bank charges.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 All ticket sales are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
4.2 Nothing in these terms limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ), where applicable.
4.3 Event Cancellation
If the Event is cancelled and not rescheduled, ticket holders will receive a refund of the ticket price paid (excluding Eventbrite booking fees unless required by law). Refunds will be processed in accordance with Eventbrite’s platform procedures and timelines.
4.4 Postponement
If postponed, tickets remain valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within the timeframe notified.
4.5 Change of Format
If the Event moves fully online, in-person tickets convert to online access. This change alone does not entitle the holder to a refund.
4.6 Online Streaming Access
Online ticket holders are responsible for suitable internet access and compatible devices. We are not responsible for technical issues outside our reasonable control.
4.7 Non-Attendance
No refunds will be issued for change of mind or failure to attend.
5. Ticket Transfers
5.1 Tickets may be transferred once, free of charge, by emailing admin@re-connects.com at least 72 hours before the Event start time.
5.2 After this deadline, the registered name is final.
6. Ticket Resale
6.1 Tickets must not be resold above face value or through unauthorised channels.
6.2 Tickets obtained in breach of this clause may be cancelled without refund.
7. Admission
7.1 Admission requires a valid ticket.
7.2 Reasonable proof of identity may be requested.
8. Age Policy
8.1 Attendees must be 16 years or older.
8.2 Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
8.3 Content is designed primarily for adults.
9. Code of Conduct
9.1 Attendees must behave respectfully.
9.2 We may remove attendees for unsafe or disruptive behaviour.
9.3 No refund will be provided where removal occurs due to breach of these terms.
10. Personal Property
10.1 Attendees are responsible for their belongings.
10.2 We are not liable for loss or damage except as required by law.
11. Recording by Attendees
11.1 Unauthorised commercial recording or redistribution of Event content is prohibited.
11.2 Online streaming access is for personal use only.
11.3 Sharing login credentials or reproducing livestream content is prohibited.
12. Digital Content Licence & Replay Access
12.1 Certain ticket types include access to livestream recordings or replay content (“Digital Content”).
12.2 Replay access is available for the period specified at purchase (up to seven (7) days from the conclusion of the Event unless otherwise stated).
12.3 Digital Content is provided on a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence for personal, non-commercial use only.
12.4 You must not:
Record, reproduce, distribute, or sell Digital Content
Share access links or login credentials
Use the content for commercial, training, therapeutic, or educational delivery without written consent
12.5 Access may be delivered via third-party platforms and is subject to platform availability. We are not responsible for interruptions, outages, or technical failures of third-party streaming or hosting platforms beyond our reasonable control
12.6 Access automatically expires at the end of the stated access period. Expiry does not entitle you to a refund.
12.7 We may revoke access without refund if this clause is breached.
12.8 All intellectual property rights in Event materials remain the property of Re-Connects and/or the relevant speakers.
12.9 Digital Content is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute personalised medical, psychological, therapeutic, or professional advice. Participation in the Event, livestream, or Digital Content does not create a therapeutic, clinical, supervisory, or practitioner-client relationship.
13. Speakers, Schedule & Venue
13.1 Speakers, programme, session times, and venue may change.
13.2 We will make reasonable efforts to deliver the advertised programme.
13.3 Changes to individual speakers or session times will not normally constitute a material change entitling a refund. The withdrawal, substitution, or unavailability of an individual speaker shall not constitute a material change unless the overall substance of the Event is fundamentally altered.
14. Accessibility
14.1 Accommodation requests should be made at least 14 days before the Event.
14.2 Requests should be emailed to admin@re-connects.com.
14.3 We will take reasonable steps to assist where practicable.
15. Media & Recordings
15.1 The Event may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, or recorded.
15.2 By attending, you acknowledge your image or voice may appear in general audience recordings.
15.3 Recordings may be used for promotional, educational, and informational purposes.
15.4 If you have privacy concerns, notify us in writing at admin@re-connects.com at least 72 hours prior to the Event.
15.5 A parent or legal guardian is responsible for providing consent for any minor attending the Event and accepts responsibility for the minor’s supervision, conduct, and participation.
15.6 Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
16. Health & Safety
16.1 We operate in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (NZ).
16.2 Attendees must follow safety instructions.
16.3 Attendees are responsible for determining whether participation in the Event is appropriate for their personal circumstances and wellbeing.
17. Force Majeure
17.1 If circumstances beyond our reasonable control make the Event impracticable or unsafe, we may reschedule, change format, relocate, or cancel.
17.2 If cancelled and not rescheduled, a refund of the ticket price will be provided.
17.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses including travel or accommodation costs.
18. Limitation of Liability
18.1 Our total liability shall not exceed the ticket price paid.
18.2 Nothing limits mandatory consumer protections that cannot be excluded. Except as required by law, attendees acknowledge that they have not relied on any representation or statement not expressly set out in these terms when purchasing a ticket.
19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
19.1 These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
19.2 Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
19.3 International purchasers agree that New Zealand law governs the contract.
20. Complaints
20.1 Ticket-related complaints may be directed to admin@re-connects.com.
20.2 If unresolved, remedies under New Zealand law may be pursued.
21. Severability
21.1 If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
21.2 These terms constitute the entire agreement relating to ticket purchase and supersede any prior representations, statements, or communications relating to the Event, except as required by law.

23. Collection of Personal Information
23.1 We collect information voluntarily provided through ticket purchases, enquiries, registrations, and website interactions.
23.2 Health-related information is collected only with express consent.
24. Use of Information
24.1 We use information to:
Deliver Event services
Process payments
Send communications
Provide marketing where consented
Comply with legal obligations
25. International Data Transfers
25.1 We use trusted third-party providers including Eventbrite, payment processors, and email marketing platforms.
25.2 Some providers may store data outside New Zealand.
25.3 We take reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards are in place.
26. Data Security
26.1 We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
27. Retention
27.1 Records may be retained for up to seven (7) years where legally required.
28. Access & Correction
28.1 You may request access to or correction of your personal information by emailing admin@re-connects.com.
28.2 We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
29. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising Technologies
29.1 We use cookies and analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand how users interact with our Site and to improve functionality and user experience.
29.2 These tools may collect information such as:
IP address (in anonymised or truncated form)
Device and browser type
Pages visited
Time spent on pages
Scroll behaviour and click activity
Referring websites or advertisements
29.3 Microsoft Clarity may record anonymised session interactions to help us improve website usability. Sensitive information (including passwords and payment details) is automatically masked and not recorded.
29.4 We may use online advertising platforms (including Meta/Facebook) to promote our events and services. These platforms may collect information when you interact with advertisements on their platforms.
29.5 Analytics and advertising data may be processed or stored outside New Zealand by third-party service providers. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
29.6 You may disable cookies through your browser settings.
30. External Links
30.1 We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from the Site.
